Aachen – Habsburg is the oldest existing Lipizzaner stud in Australia. The stud was founded in 1980 by Louise Krutzler and she is assisted by her husband Dr Johann Krutzler who also has extensive experience with the breed. Dr Krutzler is a former administrator of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, the Austrian Federal Stud Farm Piber and the Federal Stallion Station. He also represented Lipizzaners at EU meetings in Brussels.
Aachen – Habsburg will now focus its breeding program on producing modern Lipizzaners for classical riding and dressage, using their imported stallion, 224 Conversano Allegra V (Slovenia). This stallion was a ‘must have’ horse when Dr & Mrs Krutzler witnessed him win European Champion Young Stallion, Slovakia 2002. ‘Leo’ is by the beautiful and elegant modern stallion, Conversano Capriola XIV and he is ridden by Annette Mitchell of Laurel Park.
The modern Lipizzaner differs from the traditional Baroque type having a longer rein, longer leg – particularly in the cannon – a good sloping shoulder and a refined, elegant outline. The movement is expressive, being rounded and showing good knee and hock action with substantial reach. All Lipizzaners have the genetic breeding and ability to execute Grand Prix movments such as piaffe, passage and pirouette. The modern version is equally as good - Lipizzaners tend to be naturally forward going with a wonderful trainable temperament.

We are a Dressage Training Centre and Warmblood stud situated in Ebenezer on the Hawkesbury River.
We are proud to own and stand the imported Licensed German Stallion First Kiss for his first season in Sydney.
First Kiss is sired by World Young Horse Champion French Kiss – who is by Florestan out of a mare by Donnerhall, combined with the influential W line of Woermann / World Cup. His dam line features the ‘trot machine’ Werther and the sheer athleticism of Cor de la Bryère.
First Kiss was Reserve Champion at his licensing in Munich and at Vice-Champion at the Championship of Baden Wurtemburg. He also qualified for the Bundeschampionate. At his 30 day test he won the dressage with a score of 8.45. He scored 8.16 for jumping for a total of 8.28
We chose to purchase First Kiss after finding that there was a very limited choice of suitable local stallions available for chilled semen for mares that are unable to be used for frozen semen (I have one myself!). I found it necessary to pursue the idea of becoming a stallion owner. First Kiss is exactly what I was looking for: an ideal size - 16.2hh - with amazing light floating movement, his temperament is outstanding, his conformation compact and correct, all gaits superb, pure glossy black AND suitable to be put to most types of mares to complement and enhance. I am also looking forward to training and riding him to FEI ranks. He is a truly extravagant stallion to ride who fills me with confidence and pride to have such a wonderful combination of bloodlines, temperament, rideability and amazing presence.
We are very excited to be able to offer First Kiss via AI, fresh, chilled or frozen semen. He is incredibly fertile with some of Australia’s prominent riders already having foals by First Kiss. All reports of the foals are amazing: the owners are highly impressed with their temperaments and are being wowed by their extravagant movement and type.

Annwn Park Lipizzaner Stud is situated in Central Western NSW, approximately four hours from Sydney between Orange & Dubbo. Our breeding program began in 2001 with the purchase of our first Lipizzaner mare (202 Bonnie dec). We had a firm goal in mind to produce Purebred Lipizzaner horses of the highest quality for serious dressage competition. Through studying the Lipizzaner lines within Australia thoroughly along with the certain traits from these lines, we have managed to merge the very best qualities in order to create superlative foals. Combining both Hungarian & Classical Piber breeding, our foals boast exceptional movement, type, temperament, bone, substance & trainability along with height, achieving 15.2 hh and above. We very much pride ourselves on owning some of the highest quality Internationally Accredited Lipizzaner breeding stock in Australia.
The Stud’s foundation stallion, 100 Favory Neapolitano I, has consistently produced exceptional offspring, the majority of which are competing & training successfully from Novice level dressage up to High School. He is also proven an excellent sire for breeding Lipizzaner Sport-Horses.
October 2007 saw the birth of perhaps the best Purebred Lipizzaner foal born in Australia for quite some time. Favory Saturn I (100 Favory Neapolitano I x 79 Saturn) a strong well built colt with unsurpassable movement & a super temperament. A very big foal, already showing excellent height. He is without doubt a highly talented colt. One of his maternal grandsires was Pluto Nima XII dec (Imp Piber) - Australian National Dressage Champion at Prix St George in the 1980’s. The other was Siglavy Flora 1.75 (Imp Piber), trained to High School level, he was the mount for the head Director of the Spanish Riding School, Colonel Hans Handler. While his dam, prior to becoming a breeding mare, competed with success to Elementary level & also in harness.
The future of Annwn Park lies with its exceptional young mares, bred from generations of proven competition lines. We believe that our mares are the building blocks of a successful breeding program. Our young mares have wonderful height well towards 16hh & movement along with retaining true Lipizzaner type. To compliment our young mares sired by 100 Favory Neapolitano I, we have recently purchased an outstanding Lipizzaner colt, Favory Pallavicina I, born November 2007. He is totally un-related to any of our stock & expected to mature over 15.2hh. His breeding is of fully imported lines. Sired by the classical line stallion 226 Favory Naussica imp France in 2002, who is currently competing very successfully in open dressage, & from the 15.2hh Hungarian bred mare Pluto XXIX-23 Imp 2002.
Interest in the Lipizzaner breed within Australia is growing in leaps & bounds. There are Lipizzaners situated all over Australia, including Tasmania & also New Zealand. While the breed is still relatively small in Australia their presence is becoming more widely known. In Australia at present there are Purebred Lipizzananers & Part-Bred Lipizzaners competing very successfully in Dressage, Eventing & in Harness, with younger horses coming up through the ranks ready to compete in open competition within the coming years. Lipizzaner horses are World Champions in Driving & also competed at the WEG.
Lipizzaners have naturally powerful hindquarters that propel them forward with strength & agility. Their high level of trainability & excellent temperaments are well known. As a cross bred they improve temperament, movement, strength, trainability & bone as well as added elasticity, collection and cadence.
Breeding upon strict guidelines including accreditation & a rule of no line/inbreeding below the 5th generation has instilled one of the breeds most well known traits, their extreme soundness. This coupled with maturity of around 8 years & a life expectancy of 28 years – 32 years sees Lipizzaner horses being ridden well into their late 20’s.
Annwn Park has Lipizzaner foals available each season & our current stallion at stud is 100 Favory Neapolitano I. In order to maintain the exceptional high quality of our young stock, the stud on average will produce a maximum of two Purebred foals a season. We have exported to New Zealand & sold foals all over Australia, from NSW to Tasmania & WA.

Aurum’s mission is to produce outstanding International Performance Horses and to see them compete at the highest levels.
Aurum’s exciting addition this year is their new stallion Aurum Rivière d’Or, a son of Regardez Moi. Rivière d’Or is out of the super moving mare Aurum Belle who is by Floodway. This combination has produced a stallion with really beautiful, expressive and fluid movement in all three paces. Aurum Rivière d’Or is currently in the early stages of training under saddle and is displaying an amazing aptitude for learning combined with an excellent temperament. He covered several mares last season and Aurum are awaiting his first crop of foals with great anticipation.
Aurum has a yearling full brother of Rivière d’Or available, Aurum Revoir, who is developing along the same outstanding lines as his sibling. He is very easy to work with and shows sensational paces just like his brother.
This season’s crop of dressage foals available from Aurum includes an amazing Jazz filly out of a Walt Disney mare. This filly displays really expansive movement and is always a foot above the ground! She is a real eye catcher with a beautiful front and pretty head. Another notable foal this season is a flashy Weltmeyer filly out of a Regardez Moi X Salute mare, possibly the only such cross yet seen on the Australian scene! Mention should also be made of the picture-perfect colt Aurum Solarius by Summerhill Sampson (Salute) out of a Duellschutz X Valuta mare who has the requisite four perfect white stockings and even white blaze but whose ‘wow’ hock action in the trot and magnificent canter overshadows even all of that!
As well as the foals and the aforementioned Regardez Moi yearling Aurum have a number of other yearlings and two year olds available including a very impressive Jive Magic filly and two young Brentano II two year olds that are just about ready to be started in their foundation training. One other interesting youngster is a yearling by Aurum Alloy (McCartney) out of a Weltmeyer X Aachen line mare. He is a very nicely put together young gelding who will excel in any discipline and shows very nice movement which he inherits from his sire and dam.

The AEBC is known worldwide for specialising in horse behaviour. We also have many years of experience standing stallions at stud – the best known being Woodmount Magic, the first Australian trained performance stallion sold to Europe. Magic is now almost 20 and still in big demand as a breeder of top event horses in the UK. In 2004 we expanded our breeding program importing Alessandro and DaVinity from Europe.
Alessandro is the son of dressage sensation Sandro Hit and has inherited his father’s talent. Everywhere he goes, Alessandro turns heads, he has a powerful, eye catching trot with enormous suspension and extraordinary hock action. With elastic paces, and great ability to engage and collect it is no wonder that he is already so successful in the dressage arena, recently he scored 69% at his first Advanced outing. At home he is finding the collected movements a breeze. Judges have commented that this horse has “serious dressage potential”, consistently scoring 9’s for freedom and regularity of paces. Most recently he demonstrated his ability during the master class at Dressage with the Stars, handling the exciting atmosphere with ease.
Bred by Paul Schockemöhle in Germany, Alessandro is out of the Grand Prix mare, Alessandria, a producer of many successful young horses at the Bundeschampionate. While so many Australian performance horses show weaknesses in the movement of the hind legs, Alessandro is the ideal sire to rectify this in your breeding programme. His foals are stamped with his good looks and placid yet trainable temperament and are blessed with great length of leg and elastic movement. Also a dual purpose sire, his jumping shows style and scope. His gallop is surprisingly fast, long in the stride and comfortable making him well suited to eventing.
DaVinity uniquely brings to Australia, in one stallion, the famous DRW lines: He carries the elite bloodlines of Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Caprimond and World Cup I. He is by DaCaprio (Davignon/Caprimond) and out of a Regazzoni mare - a granddaughter of the full-sister to Gabribaldi I and II – one of the most famous mares of the master breeder, Dr Schultz-Stellenfleth.
DaVinity is a 15.2hh compact package, making him the perfect sire for those wishing to produce the smaller dressage or performance horse. Crosses with ponies have been very successful with progeny inheriting DaVinity’s extravagant movement and stunning appearance. DaVinity has exceptional paces – an expansive walk and canter combined with a very elegant and elevated trot. As an added bonus, he demonstrates an outstanding jumping technique. All his foals show this expressive movement, presence and stylish conformation.
Foals from Alessandro and DaVinity’s first year at stud are now beginning their foundation training at AEBC and are proving to be all that we have hoped for, exciting performance prospects of the future!

Website: www.aveden.com.au

Established for 12 years, this stud’s long term success is assured. Rather than breeding large numbers of horses with identical pedigree, Aveden’s focus is to meet the demand for horses produced by top International Sires, with carefully selected coverings to a broodmare gene pool proven to stand the test of time.
The availability of frozen semen from the world’s top performance sires, has allowed breeders the opportunity to produce horses of international quality, here in Australia, providing they are bred to the highest quality mares.
In 2006, Aveden imported 3 State Premium Mares from Oldenburg.
St.Pr.St. Furstin Amour ( Fürst Heinrich / Ramino )
St.Pr. St. Madonia (Don Davidoff / Classiker)
St.Pr. St. Finesse (Argentinus / Sandro Hit-Donnerhall)
Finesse had her competitive debut with Kris in 2007, and was reserve champion Queensland Preliminary Horse of the Year; Furstin Amour had her competitive debut with great success under Karen Prain. Madonia was imported in foal to Don Romantic (Don Schufro) and the subsequent colt has been sold to a top NSW dressage stable. Madonia has now commenced work and will be campaigned by Kris this year.
These mares represent some of the world’s best performance bloodlines, and mixed with Australia’s existing stallion base, will ensure that we continue to produce horses of the highest quality for the most discerning rider.
The quality not quantity philosophy then combines with the professional hands on development of each individual horse, by Kris himself, from foaling down through to training under saddle and preparation for competition.

Bellaire Dressage Stable produces a small number of well trained, easy to ride competitive dressage horses from Preliminary to Grand Prix. It is also home to the newly imported 70 day tested Hanoverian stallion Bellaire Cannavaro (Contendro I / Freiherr by Furioso II).
Cannavaro was selected for his proven bloodlines and amazing temperament. The combination of dressage and jumping lines brings athleticism to our dressage horses.
Cannavaro made his debut at Dressage & Jumping with the Stars, placing 3rd in the 4 year old material class, 7th in the 4 year old dressage horse and champion 4 year old jumping horse. He was also awarded the Esther Beliss Trophy for his combined dressage and jumping results.
The breeding program includes proven competition mares with excellent pedigrees. One such mare has produced a Grand Prix son who is currently on the NSW dressage squad. Embryo transfer technology also allows us breed our top competition mares without the need to spell or retire them to the brood mare band.

Bloomfield Farm is situated in the Warragul district of West Gippsland, Victoria and is home to Oldenburger stallions, Royal Hit and San Rubin II.
Royal Hit is the third licensed son of Loretta, the most influential Oldenburger broodmare in modern history. Loretta has produced World Dressage Champion, Sandro Hit and Reserve World Dressage Champion, Diamond Hit along with a number of Elite mares, including the full sisters to Sandro Hit, Diamond Hit and Royal Hit. These daughters are also producing Premium quality sons and daughters. Loretta consistently appears in the pedigrees of licensed colts, Premium mares and top auction horses. She now has a great dynasty of successful descendants that prove her genetic influence is no fluke. The results from the 2007 Oldenburger Licensing showed over 50% of the licensed colts carried the Loretta blood.
On top of this amazing dam line, Royal Hit has a sire line filled with dressage stars. His sire, Royal Dance (Rohdiamant / Donnerhall) was Champion of his Licensing and is now based in Holland. Rohdiamant was also Champion of his Licensing. The third generation back features two greats, Rubinstein and Donnerhall, Champion Grand Prix Stallions who have reproduced their rideability and other quality traits consistently through the generations.
Royal Hit is a 1-C Premium Licensed Oldenburger and has proven his dominance as a sire through his outstanding progeny. His first foal crop are now 4 year olds and are excelling under saddle. The outstanding rideability, movement and conformation of these youngsters is gathering some excitement throughout Germany. Royal Doruto (Royal Hit / Rubinstein) has featured in many German Web Forums with many comments regarding the exceptional quality of this horse. He was the talk of the town after the 2008 Stallion Presentation where his performance was the highlight of the show. This young licensed stallion is now standing at stud in Germany, with owners confirming it is the busiest season they have ever had. Royal Hit has so far produced six licensed sons and seven premium daughters for the Oldenburg and Westphalen associations.
Royal Hit’s first foal crop in Australia, (since standing at Bloomfield), have delighted their breeders/ owners. Ecstatic clients are a stud/stallion owners dream, and this was certainly the case this year. The comments are consistent; super movement, excellent conformation and perfect temperaments. The foals are elastic in their movement with expressive knee and hock action. They are leggy and elegant with great shoulders and length of neck, and they are soooo friendly and easy to do anything with. Clients are choosing to rebreed their mares and others have decided to keep their foals as future riding and breeding prospects. Many clients have also taken advantage of the chilled semen for Embryo Transfer, breeding their top competition mares without the need to take time away from their training schedule to raise the foal.
In the years to come the positive impact left in Australia by Royal Hit will be evident in both the competition ring and the breeding programs of many of the top studs. He is a true genetic masterpiece, with the ability to reproduce.
San Rubin II is a young Oldenburger Stallion who is currently in training with Robert Goodwin. Rob started him under saddle last year, as a three year old, and was blown away with his remarkable attitude and willingness. San Rubin II is sired by Sandro Hit, therefore carrying the famous Loretta blood, and is out of a Rubinstein mare, Alice. San Rubin II is one of five full siblings, all carrying the amazing rideability traits that Rubinstein is known for and the beautiful type that Sandro Hit consistently produces. His older brother, San Rubin is a Licensed Oldenburger who now stands in USA and was Bundeschampion in 2005.
Our self imposed restrictions during the EI outbreak, along with a busy breeding season, put a temporary halt on San Rubin II’s training, but in early April, Rob was back in the saddle again and San Rubin II has continued to impress. As a four year old, he is physically maturing into an exceptional stallion. Under saddle he shows three quality gaits, great balance, rhythm, and a willing, trainable nature. His first season foals have also delighted their breeders/owners and again the comments are consistently applauding the amazing temperaments, the type and the movement.
If this first foal crop is anything to go by, San Rubin II progeny will also prove to be a valuable asset for competitors and breeders in years to come.
Our 2007 foal crop are a wonderful mix of Royal Hit and San Rubin II sons and daughters (mainly daughters!) and are out of mare lines including Don Ramiro, Argentinus, Jive Magic, Contango II, Faust Z, Falkland Victory, Aachimedes and Duellschutz. Consistent with our clients’ comments, our own foals also display the quality traits of their sires. We are expecting around 20 foals next season and have the additional mare lines of Jazz, Dream of Glory, Levantos, Capone, Grannus, De Niro and Weltmeyer.
Both stallions are due to return to Germany in February 2009, however recent discussions are looking promising for allowing Royal Hit to remain for one extra season. If negotiations are successful this will give Australian Breeders another season to access this World Class Stallion via fresh/chilled semen.

... achieving the dream
From the humble beginnings of a $300 TB mare bought from the local classifieds, Byalee has grown ever closer to achieving its dream, this year celebrating 20 years of breeding with three stallions standing at stud and a herd of some 25 broodmares grazing on its 100 acres.
Eldest of the three sires is the amazing mover Byalee Romance (Regardez Moi/Lanthan), who is working through the advanced movements with ease at just 5 years of age, and loving every minute of his work thanks to his extreme trainability and intelligent temperament.
The imported addition is Byalee Briar (Bjorsells Briar 899/Bernstein) chosen specifically to complement the bloodlines of Auction of the Stars, run with business partner Heath Ryan.
“Heath and I made a shortlist - a very short list - of any of the world’s Grand Prix genetics that we didn’t yet have but considered desirable,” Ann-Maree said. “Briar blood was right at the top of that list. The fact that this chap is a palomino was incidental, but a wonderful surprise when we found him!”
And the baby of the Byalee stallions, Byalee Fantasy (Falsterbo/Salute), will debut in the 2008-2009 season. He was created at Byalee using frozen semen, which was chosen specifically for its injection of Brentano with the famous Florestan pedigree, since Brentano’s sire Bolero was another stallion on the shopping shortlist. Even more exciting, Fantasy is out of the Salute mother of Ann-Maree’s current Grand Prix horse, Byalee Magic, soon to be followed by full brother Byalee Magic II.
“It’s all about genetics,” Ann-Maree emphasised. “We want to breed horses that find it easy to piaffe and passage. One day we imagine that the dressage riders of Australia will have horses that piaffe as easily as they trot, but this will only be achieved if we breed on GP bloodlines.”
Already there is great demand for the Romance and Briar babies, although the crop of 2007 was badly affected by EI, and as a result far fewer than expected.
“One of the first palomino Briar fillies has been sold internationally, in fact she was sold before she was born,” Ann-Maree said. “And his babies are just everything we hoped they would be - straight legs, eye-catching, beautiful temperaments and movement to die for. We can’t wait to see what this season brings. Riding Briar himself is simply one of the highlights of my day - I just can’t wait for him to be at Grand Prix level. He is so easy, so sensible, so laidback and yet undoubtedly so talented. I have to pinch myself sometimes to convince myself that I really do have three sensational stallions to ride every day.”
“The Romances have inherited their father’s friendly nature and their movement looks sensational - all of this year’s fillies are being retained by the stud as future broodmares. And we look forward to the Fantasy progeny next year.”
Byalee’s designer foal program is also taking off, with deposits paid already to secure broodmares for next year to go in foal to the three stallions. It’s the perfect way to breed a foal without owning a mare!
Footnote: that $300 foundation mare turned out to be a brilliant producer and was great-grand-dam of two youngsters at this year’s Dressage with the Stars ...

Carlyle Park was established 30 years ago in Gruyere as a property dedicated to breeding international performance horses. We are a family operation, all of us passionate about our horses and breeding programme for Australia.
The philosophy behind Carlyle Park is to breed competition horses for an international level. Last year, like most years, was a successful one for Carlyle Park. All the horses offered for sale were sold and as always we keep in close contact with all our horses and form a close friendship with their new owners.
Our mare line is vital to Carlyle Park, it’s the base of a great foal. We spare no expense, it’s our priority to make sure we breed the best stock, especially so I can ride the best horses.
This season our mares are in foal to Fidertanz and De Niro. The two stallions are highly regarded as elite performance horses and carry excellent temperaments. Fidertanz is new to Carlyle Park. He is by Fidermark (Florestan) out of the famous Ravallo mare. He is rated as an amazing stallion with an unflappable personality.
We are truly excited about our new foals for 2008.
Carlyle Park currently has young stock for sale by Sandro Hit, De Niro and Magritte 780.

How will the season 2007-8 be remembered? EI and the drought adversely affected us all. No shows, no competition, no ACE tour and feed costs soaring through the roof. Despite these factors, we still had a successful season and eagerly await the new arrivals this spring. Fortunately we are not so restricted as the Thoroughbred industry as we were still able to use AI and send chilled semen to our clients.
At Cloverfern we still hold firmly to the belief that temperament is of paramount importance, followed closely by movement and conformation. Without the right temperament and trainability it is nigh impossible to achieve your dream.
Our boys, GrandKavalier and APH Spiegel have all these attributes. We have a large proportion of clients who return to us, as they are very happy with their progeny from our stallions.
Our boys may be getting older but they are still producing beautiful babies.
Fashions come and go but our stallions have the points on the board and their progeny are competing here and overseas in all Olympic disciplines.
The Trakehner breed is in the ascendancy here and APH Spiegel is one of the few Trakehner FEI stallions in Australia. We are offering special rates to Trakehner society members.
At Cloverfern we offer a very personal and professional service to all our clients. Our mare care is excellent and our staff are friendly, caring and experienced.

There are breeders and there are breeders who are also competitors. Breeders like Heather Currie, who takes all her Danson Dressage stallions out where it counts – in the competition arena!
Heather is one of Australia’s most consistent dressage competitors, and last season won the prestigious Zilco Dressage Leaderboard Award.
This year she has had continued success with her stallion, Donnerblitz, taking out major titles at the South Australian Championships, and then going well at the Sydney CDI.
The coming breeding season sees the introduction of a new face in the stallion ranks at Danson, Rubinstern – who is frozen semen bred top and bottom, being by the top Oldenburg sire, Ruiz Soler out of a mare by Argentinus. He too, will be making his debut in the competition arena before too long.
Currently Danson has for sale the dual purpose breeding stallion, RAZINO, another frozen semen product by the Ramiro son, RABINO out of a Ludendorf /Monopol mare. The five year old steel grey stallion
is the current 2008 SA state Novice Dressage Champion with scores of 73.40%!
Razino has the most amazing temperament - he has been 100% reliable at every competition, he has already won three Championship dressage awards from limited shows. He has a super walk and canter and showing is he will be very progressive through the dressage ranks,
His foals are tall and scopey, long legged with calm and friendly characters - the SA Mounted police and numerous successful eventer/showjumping riders have already chosen him as a sire for their future mounts. Razino is currently for sale at $60,000 but will be standing at Danson Dressage until sold at $1100 plus gst, Chilled or Live cover available.
It can only get better! Donnerblitz has been noticed by overseas and national trainers as an up and coming future dressage horse in Australia and he is just seven years old!

4ACES represents the Flyinge (Swedish National Stud) stallions and also a fine selection of the best stallions from the Böckmann Hengststation in Germany. NOTE: the semen is available in Australia at all times and we guarantee the delivery of full and quality controlled doses.
For the Flyinge stallions ONLY, we have a very special guarantee: You only pay a BOOKING FEE when you order your semen and should the mare, for some reason, fail to become pregnant after up to 3 inseminations there is NO SEMEN FEE to be paid! Note that these terms only apply to the FLYINGE stallions.
When it comes to specific Dressage abilities in the offspring we are happy to be able to supply the FLYINGE stallions AMIRAL 764 ELITE, D-DAY 935, RAGAZZO 998 and the Riding Pony POWER BOY RP 112, the Swedish Superstar BRIAR 899 ELITE and the Böckmann stallions DANONE, FIDERTANZ, HOHENSTEIN, ROSENTANZ and WOLKENTANZ II. All those stallions are carefully selected to guarantee the best possible abilities, temperaments and conformation in their progeny.
One of the best stallions ever is the ELITE STALLION, AMIRAL 764. We are luckily still able to offer Australian breeders AMIRAL semen. Semen that has so far made every mare pregnant on the first insemination. Even 3,16 and 17 y.o. maiden mares! AMIRAL is one of the finest examples of the Swedish Warmblood horse. He actually had four out of four possible 10’s in his Classification protocol. It had never happened before! With Kyra Kyrklund he went from victory to victory and became the highest ranked dressage stallion in the World Breeding Ranking 1995. Kyra and AMIRAL achieved this in only 6 months – all others had a full year! In 1997 he was 3rd with only Weyden and Donnerhall above him!
Another outstanding sire is the elastic, wonderful mover, D-DAY 935. He is so very capable and beautiful, a dapple-grey “fairy tale” stallion by Donnerschwee/Welt As. D-DAY was the Top Dressage stallion at his Classification in 1996. He had as many as five 10’s out of six possible.
All the six finalists at the Swedish 1999 “Foal of the Year” were by D-DAY! Out of his first 3-year old progeny, 14 received Dressage Diploma and 3 Showjumping Diploma. 53% were Class 1! His daughter, Synovia won the 3, 4 & 6 y.o. classes (2nd in the 5 y.o.) The D-DAY offspring are consistently of outstanding quality with fantastic movements, temperaments and all the expression and trainability needed for international competition.
Our very special 2 y.o, Day-Dancer by D-DAY, has been sold to a very lucky competition rider. They will surely make a great team for the future. Congratulations!
The next stallion is the perfect RAGAZZO 998, the stallion you can’t fault. He had six 10’s out of six possible – probably the only stallion ever to receive such unique scores. A most beautiful power pack, radiant with energy and so much charisma! Huge relaxed walk, uphill powerful canter and the best extended trot in the business! His pedigree is one of the classiest too. Sire: Raphael by Ramiro Z, out of Pirola, by Pik Koenig, by Pik As xx. You find Ramzes, Cottage Son xx, Frustra II, Futurist I, Abhang II etc., etc.
Every foal by him is perfect and has that RAGAZZO look, temperament and all that huge movement. The progeny is consistently sold at very high prices in Europe.
We strongly recommend RAGAZZO as a most secure investment for the professional breeder of international competition horses, REGARDLESS OF DISCIPLINE!
We now have the perfect yearling filly, superb, stunning Rozetta, by RAGAZZO - out of a Kingston Rule xx mare - for sale to competition/breeding home only.
He is the powerful, ultra athletic “Dressage stallion”, yet BRIAR 899 is actually a showjumping horse. BRIAR 899 is a horse that “comes once in a blue moon”, a maximised SUPERSTAR!
BRIAR won at Aachen over Salinero in 2005! Some judges gave him the highest marks ever given thus far for a KUR – 88%! A win, not only for top class Swedish breeding, but also for the correct, classic training methods.
BRIAR has proven himself beyond doubt and Kyra Kyrklund, who trains Jan Brink and BRIAR says: “ I would give my soul for that horse – BRIAR.”
The black Riding Pony with the best tail, POWER BOY RP 112 is some pony! A legend in Germany and in the rest of Europe, as well as and in America, for his outstanding competition and breeding results. Placed in the top 10 out of 1400 stallions, based on the results of his progeny! POWER BOY is simply in a class of his own. The ideal choice for anyone who wants a winner Riding Pony or a smaller top class performance horse.
The excellent selection of Böckmann stallions starts with dazzling DANONE, the winner of the 2003 Stallion Classifications at FLYINGE, Sweden, where they called him “The King of elastic movements”. DANONE is De Niro/Weltmeyer and he is strikingly beautiful, with optimal neck carriage. He is elegant and strong with absolutely ideal conformation. His pedigree is indeed hard to beat! De Niro, Donnerhall, Weltmeyer, Absatz and Bolero guarantee the very best Dressage aptitude.
He is a “class act” young stallion with a very, very promising future.
FIDERTANZ by, Fidermark/Ravallo was an absolute star at the NRW Classifications 2004. With standing ovations he won the Classification in both Dressage and Showjumping ability. His sire Fidermark was also Classification winner, a Bundesch-ampion Winner as well as a Grand Prix winner.
The Grand Sire, Ravallo (by the famous Raphael – also Ragazzo’s sire) won his Classification with an index of 155 points!
FIDERTANZ was awarded Reserve Champion at the Bundeschampionat – with a score of 9.5 by the test rider. He is one of the most popular sires in Germany at the moment.
HOHENSTEIN by Caprimond/Matador – he is the black beauty. What an impressive stallion he is in every way. He was himself ‘Stallion of the Year’ 2002 and his son, His Highness was the winning stallion at Verden (sold for 515 000 Euro). From his very first progeny came the 1997 Champion stallion Munchausen (sold for 350 000 DM) and the list of top progeny just goes on and on. In 1999 HOHENSTEIN was awarded ELITE status.
For the lover of black horses, who wants a stallion with the best possible proven results in performance and breeding - not related to Donnerhall or Weltmeyer. This is the stallion!
ROSENTANTZ by Rohdiamant/Sao Paolo was the winner and Premium stallion at the Verden Classifications 2003. He is the most expressive, extravagant moving, elegant and light modern type of stallion. His movements are nothing short of dynamic! His sire Rohdiamant was the winner of the 1992 Oldenburg Classifications and the ride-ability winner with over 150 points. He is the choice stallion for a heavier type mare.
ROSENTANTZ has Sao Paolo as Grand Sire, the sire of Isabell Werth’s, Satchmo, who needs no further
introduction.
Last but not least we have the impressive chestnut WOLKENTANZ II, by Weltmeyer/Ludendorff.
A stallion of the highest quality in type, conformation, dynamics, expression, charisma and ride-ability! He twice scored the magic 10 for ride-ability!
WOLKENTANZ II is competing very successfully up to PSG and Inter I and ll. He already has 20 Premium mare offspring, 12 approved sons with 3 Premium stallions. He consistently gives Riding Horse Champions, Bundeschampionat competitors and top horses for the Classifications and the Auctions. This is just a wonderful horse and one of the best stallions to use on lighter mares.
Welcome to the 4 ACES smorgasbord of World Class stallions and friendly service 2008/09.

Flowervale Warmblood Stud is well known in Australia and overseas for producing high quality Dressage and Showjumping horses, with exports to France, Holland, New Zealand and the Philippines.
Recently Flowervale horses have performed with distinction at DWTS and the Sydney CDI, and as principal of the stud, I would like to thank and congratulate the owners and riders of these horses, as without their commitment to perform with Flowervale horses at high levels, we as a stud would not get the recognition we are receiving at present. Thank you all!
Producing dressage horses is an important part of our work and by using world class stallions over very good mares, we try to improve the quality of horses here in Australia.
To accommodate the young riders we felt that there is a need for really good moving ponies as pony dressage is taking off at high speed in Australia at present. Last year one of my friends Mrs Lyn Spiers-Kendall asked me if I would be interested in a partnership in importing and standing at Stud, a dressage pony stallion, as Lyn had started a dressage pony stud, Paradise Valley Performance Ponies, at East Warburton, Victoria.
In Australia we breed a very nice type of pony but we felt that we needed more movement and as I know my way through the mine-field of buying horses in Europe, Lyn, Lauren and I set off to select a dressage pony stallion. I also needed to buy some dressage horses for clients in Australia, so looking for the pony stallion fitted right into the same trip.
From the forty to fifty pony stallions inspected by us in Germany, Holland and Belgium, a few were vet checked. That resulted in the purchase of the very exciting pony stallion, Flowervale Boginov – born 12-5-04, liver chestnut, 148 cm, with amazing movement.
He is by one of Holland’s most influential sires for dressage ponies, Orchard Boginov, and our boy’s dam is Wilgenhaar’s Jive.
We are very proud to have this amazing horse in partnership with Paradise Valley Performance Ponies.
Flowervale Boginov came out of quarantine just in time to miss EI! He was broken to saddle when we bought him, and because it would take nine weeks before he could go to England and quarantine, one of my very good friends, Matty Marissink – who runs one of the top dressage barns in Holland – took him in, to continue his training.
Here in Australia, Boginov is ridden by our dressage rider, Danni Flood, helped by Lauren and myself and attends dressage clinics with Glennis Barrey on a monthly basis.
All this seems to be working, at his first outing, he was 1st and 3rd in preliminary (winning over ponies and horses) then at his second outing, the Hamag pony championships, Boginov became prelim champion and reserve champion novice, with scores of over 70%.
We can’t wait for his first foals to be born.
At Flowervale, our services include breeding, training dressage horses, foaling down, and agistment for dressage horses in training. We have just started to build our 72 x 38 metre indoor to be used for dressage clinics and competitions.
For advice on purchasing a dressage horse in Europe, contact Case – he is always available to act as agent for you and give you the best chance to purchase the horse of your dreams from a weanling to Grand Prix dressage.

This stud stands two exciting young stallions.
APH Ludo, by the imported stallion, Luebeck out of the imported mare, Livorna, carries a double cross of the great Ladykiller, along with two of the all time sires, Cor de la Bryère and Ramiro. Ludo was 2nd at Dressage with the Stars 2005, in the 4 year old final, and again made the top 10 as a 5 year old in 2006. Since then he has won numerous Supreme Championships. His foals have been highly appraised by international classifiers – they all seem to have inherited wonderful temperaments, powerful uphill canters, and – of course – lots of white.
GT Jake is by the Dutch sire – and member of their dressage team – Jazz, out of a mare by the Oldenburg stallion, Aachen (imported and re-exported to Germany). Jake scored a high 89.5% at his stallion classification. We are delighted with his first foal, Joop, out of an OO7 mares. He is passing on his good looks and his elastic movement.
The sires of our mares include: Argus, Argentinus, Don Frederico, Rhodium, Perpignon, Weltmeyer, Flemmingh, Olivi and Contango II. We are expecting foals by the following sires: Amidou, Fhilosopher (Fidermark), Feiner Stern, Jake and Ludo, this season.
Goron Toron currently has young stock for sale by Stedinger, Ludo, Jake, Samba Hit III and Olivi – and mares for sale by Flemmingh and Olivi.

In Australia we are lucky to have access to some of Germany’s leading modern dressage stallions from the famous stallion station: Hengststation Meyer.
A number of very lucky breeders in Australia already have foals by Damsey on the ground, and they all say how handsome they are, and what good movers they are! This really should be no surprise because Damsey himself is a great mover, and his pedigree features some of the most influential bloodlines in the world today. Damsey started his career as the only stallion to receive a premium at the Hanoverian saddle licensing. At his 30 day test in Adelheidsdorf, he received a score of 9.25 for ridability – the highest score of all. In his first show season, Damsey won or placed in 11 tests, before going to Denmark where, at the licensing at Herning, he was crowned Champion Stallion of the four year old dressage stallions.
With Donnerhall and Rubinstein on the top line, and Ritual and Grande on the bottom, Damsey represents the modern tendency to use carefully selected jumping lines to improve the athleticism of the dressage horse.
The stallion Falsterbo is another with some stunning foals and young horses on the ground in Australia. He himself has recently commenced his Grand Prix career, scoring over 65% at his first big show – Hagen. Falsterbo despite having relatively few mares over the past couple of seasons because of his competition career, has made the top list of the Hanoverian stallions with a dressage index of 120.
Another interesting sire at Hengststation Meyer, is the Trakehner stallion, Herzensdieb. This is the new athletic style of Trakehner and it is no wonder that elite eventers in Australia are using him over their good Thoroughbred mares. This young stallion has wonderful movement but also showed at his performance test that he was brave and clever in the cross country test. He won his Stallion Licensing in 2005 and the following year, was Reserve Champion at his performance test. His first foals look wonderful!

We have been breeding Warmblood horses in Australia for over thirty years. Our focus is on the breeding and production of dressage horses with the skills and talent to tackle the world stage. This is not a small task but we are committed to continuing the challenge.
Australian breeders have had access to the best Warmblood stallions in the world for the last 15 years or so. Frozen semen, imported from all points of the compass, has been the mainstay of this massive improvement process. However, this would seem to be the slow road to breed improvement.
Genetic studies have confirmed the judgement of experienced breeders that the mare is responsible for 70% of the foal and its attributes. This should be no surprise but it has forced us to closely evaluate our whole breeding program. It was obvious that we needed to add some top-quality German-bred Warmblood mares to the great Australian Warmblood mares we already owned.
We began our import program three years ago with the purchase of Fürstin Grande (Fürst Heinrich x Grande) at auction in Austria. She was put in foal to Hotline in his first season and promptly imported to Australia. HB Filigree (Hotline x Fürst Heinrich) is now a confident teenager and the spitting image of her award-winning father. She has personality to burn and is looking forward to being produced on a bigger stage. She is the first daughter of Hotline in Australia (we own two others, still in Germany) and will impress the most fastidious critic.
Not long after Fürstin Grande arrived we purchased Hirtenqueen (Sunny Boy x Rubinstein) at the Vechta Elite Foal Auction. Queenie arrived in Australia at 9 months of age and is now 2 years old. This breeding season will be her first chance to add to our genetic program. ET will be used to create foals by some of the best new stallions in Germany this year such as Swarovski, Christ, Benetton Dream, First Dance and Hampton.
Rasta was a prize find for us in Clemens von Merveldt’s stables in Vechta last year. This beautiful Stedinger/Ramiro filly was suffering from a life-threatening hock infection when we visited in April ‘07. Her injury prevented her completing the full mare test but we thought she was pure gold and asked Clemens to get her in foal to Rohdiamant for us. This is a stallion who has produced many stunning progeny but his frozen semen has been entirely unsuccessful. However, we have been blessed by the arrival of a stunning bay colt, HB Rohdinger. “Ding” is a captivating foal with a fantastic personality. He has the classic sculptured face of Rohdiamant progeny and his mother’s balance and poise. We are not in the stallion-owning business and this colt is something special for Australia. Breeding like this can only be imported. He is looking for a very special home. (Photo above)
Last Autumn we returned to Germany with the intention of buying some well-bred fillies directly from German breeders in the Bremen/ Bremerhaven/ Vechta region. With the assistance of our patient and generous friend, Jens Meyer, we spent a week touring the northern German peninsula visiting the best of the local breeders. We were shown an amazing array of foals. However, the quality of the best shone through and only 1 in every 10 was worth a second viewing. During this visit we selected and purchased 5 filly foals directly from their breeders. Theses fillies were to be brought to Australia as a group but their departure from Germany was blocked by the flow-on effects of EI. Given time, we will return to Germany and re-evaluate these girls (1 by Sandro Hit, 2 by Hotline, 1 by Herzensdieb, and 1 by Fidertanz) to refine our choice and select those who will make the trip home to Oz.
We have a nucleus of Australian broodmares to complement the imports. Two of these, Gem and Grace, are by Larundel Gandalf from Lander mares and have produced our best foals to date. HB Rotteufel (Rotspon x Gem), owned by Katrina Bolmat, acquitted himself exceptionally during the lead-up events and at DWTS 08 as a 4-year-old. Gem’s subsequent foals by Weltmeyer, Londonderry and Sandro Hit are all stunners. Each has their mother’s expressiveness and their father’s individual talents. Grace’s foals by Briar and Sandro Hit will shine in the dressage arena in future years. This year she gave us a Fürst Heinrich filly who is itching to impress and is for sale. Furst Heinrich’s semen is no longer available and so this is a rare opportunity to secure one of his progeny in Australia. Both Gem and Grace are currently in foal to the outstanding young sire Fidertanz.
It is our intention to continually upgrade the quality of our broodmares, regardless of their origin. All will be judged by the foals they produce and will be retained if they remain fertile and their progeny impress. Our aim is to produce foals whose quality is indistinguishable from those available from the top German breeders. If you are looking for a quality colt or filly, equal to anything you could find in Europe, give us a ring.

If there is one thing almost as satisfying for the serious breeder as enjoying the safe arrival of your precious new season’s foals - it has to be receiving positive feedback from happy clients and basking in the reflected glories of horses that you had planned for, bred, nurtured and then sold to competition homes of all disciplines and standards - both professional and amateur, that have trained on to be both successful and a pleasure to own and ride.
The past year has seen several Hollingrove bred horses performing very creditably for their riders - in particular, one of our all-time favorite babies, Hollingrove Brando (Brentano 11 / Zwion), winning not only the Medium but also the Advanced Championship at the recent Tasmanian State Dressage Championships for his proud owner and rider Belinda Snooks. Belinda and Brando’s trainer, Roger Fitzhardinge, has their sights firmly set on the combination representing Tasmania at the PSG Finals for young dressage horses later this year. We look forward to seeing them both in Victoria and wish them best of luck!
Brando’s half brother Hollingrove Adonis by Donnerheist has also enjoyed success from limited outings - upgrading to Medium level after winning an Elementary Championship, and has now won at Medium with an Advanced start planned for later in the year. Hollingrove Rhett (Rotspon/ Faleten) has had a change of rider since his owner transferred overseas and is back competing again with considerable success. The four year old Gymnastik Star mare Hollingrove Gemma has been successful at her first few outings in Sydney and her happy owner reports that she has been a pleasure to take out - calm and sensible taking everything in her stride.
We look forward to the next foaling season with great anticipation - first foal due is an embryo transfer foal by Royal Hit from our fabulous Dream of Glory mare Hollingrove Dreamtime followed by her own Fidertanz, then a Balou du Rouet from our Grand Prix SJ producing Salute mare, a His Highness/ Flemmingh, a Dancier/ Contucci, a Fidertanz/ Donnerheist and Royal Hits from the Sandro Hit/Donnerhall mare Santa Fe (imp.) and the Don Ramiro/Faleten mare Hollingrove Fallon. Some very exciting combinations to be sure! Visitors are always welcomed at Hollingrove as are expressions of interest in the upcoming foals.

Quality knows no compromise
The term ‘knowledge is power’ can also be applied to the horse breeding industry. Especially in the modern world of horse breeding, information and know-how are critical to ensure the production of quality performance horses. With the rapid changes in the market, breeders need to be more informed and flexible to keep up with new trends.
HBC offers stallions of the best and most interesting European Showjumping, Dressage and Eventing bloodlines. Even more important, for all stallions we offer, we have frozen semen in stock.
With our European experience, HBC has extensive knowledge at its disposal. Our contacts in the top breeding areas of Hanover, Oldenburg, Westphalia, Holstein and with East and South German breed societies will provide regular information and current news to the HBC portal. In addition, HBC offers a very serious and genuine network of breeders and owners for horse enthusiasts who are interested in buying a top quality horse in Germany.
We are pleased to offer very successful performance showjumping stallions from our famous partner Stud De Wiemselbach, home of LIBERO H, winner of the World Cup Final. With Numero Uno (Libero H–Lord Calando), Ustinov (Libero H–Nimmerdor), and Upgrade (Heartbreaker–Pilot), we can offer an exclusive range from one of the most successful showjumping Studs in Holland.
New in our stallion collection is Belissimo M (Beltain–Romadour ll) from our partner Stud, Sportpferde Schmidt, a beautifully modelled stallion and one of today’s most popular Westphalian sires. He has had a dream career so far in breeding and in sport. More than 20 of his sons have been licensed and 20 mares have been awarded St.Pr. Mares already. In addition the winning foal of the German Championat 2007 was by Belissimo M.
Belissimo M is ranked 6th in FN breeding value statistic already despite his young age of 9 years.
The same Stud is offering Fürst Grandios (Fürst Heinrich-Argentinus), which had a very exciting first year with his crop in Australia.
For the first time HBC offers Harli Seifert’s stallion Rubin Royal (Rohdiamant-Grundstein II). He is a stallion with a very magnetic personality which captivates both breeders and riders. All his offspring are exceptionally elegant with fascinating movement and character.
New in our collection is the black Trakehner stallion Gribaldi (Kostolany-Ibikus). He has been standing at stud in The Netherlands his entire life and is also approved for the KWPN Verband, Oldenburg Verband and Danish Warmblood society. Based on the performance of Gribaldi’s 6- and 7-year old offspring, the KWPN decided to proclaim Gribaldi “Keur” Stallion. In order to become a KWPN “Keur” stallion, a sire has to have a sport index of more than 140 points with a reliability of 75%, and his quality conformation has to be passed on to the offspring. Under Dutch team rider Edward Gal, Gribaldi has become an international successful Grand Prix dressage horse.
Our partner Stud Kempke-Hof presents again a top range of stallions in 2008.
Sancisco (Sandro Hit–Rohdiamant) is an athletic and supple stallion with brilliant type. He has powerful hindquarters and presents excellent basic gaits and rideability. His eagerness to collect can hardly be topped and underlines his incredible dressage qualities. At the Dressage Horse Show in Moritzburg, Germany in April 2008, Sancisco and his trainer and rider Ronald Lüders won the Prix St. Georges and the Intermediaire I-test.
With his own sport performances and his nearly perfect inheritance, Lord Sinclair III (Lanciano-Raureck I) embodies the perfect type of a modern sport horse. His offspring present fascinating basic gaits, and he is certainly a valuable alternative for breeding dressage horses. He is one of Kempke Hof’s first breeding stallions with an exceptional prepotency for all equestrian disciplines. We also proudly present Wind Dancer (Weltruhm-Argentan), a stallion sire, mare and riding horse producer of finest quality.
Eventers watch out, Mighty Magic (Mytens xx - Heraldik xx) is a new upcoming star! He is an absolutely noble, high-quality stallion, beautiful like an old English painting, with a perfect conformation and captivating basic gaits. He presents a perfect leg technique, bascule and scope over the jumps. Mighty Magic knows how to impress everybody with his all-round talent and his perfect character. He seems to be the embodiment of his name – a fact that is certainly the benefit of frequent Thoroughbred use. Mighty Magic participated at his first cross country class, and he immediately won under Andreas Dibowski: With a final score of 8.3, both won in Luhmühlen. Andreas Dibowski was very satisfied with the debut of our five-year-old Holstein three-quarter Thoroughbred: “That’s how we can continue.”
Cassini I – Lavall II – Landgraf I, the same interesting bloodlines as the Aachen World Champion 2006, CUMANO (Cassini I – Landgraf I). Capo Cassione has an incredible scope and highlighted his abilities at the 30-day performance test in spring 2005 in Prussendorf with a first-class show jumping assessment. Although still early in the season Holger Wulschner and the six-year-old Capo Cassione qualified for the Federal Championships 2008. At the Professional Rider’s Championships in Bad Oeynhausen, both achieved a final score of 9.5 and ranked fifth at the show jumping competition.
We also have semen from the newcomer Swarovski (Sandro Hit–Don Gregory) from Stud Sprehe. Swarovski shone with a first excellent crop this spring in Germany.
Desperados (De Niro–Wolkenstein), our insider tip for this season, is on the way to great competition career. His trainer Falk Rosenbauer said the stallion has a great combination of trainability, temperament and rideability and had a brilliant first crop last year, what do you want more as a breeder?
A new star has filled the dressage ring with a bright radiance
Bluefields - Floreno, born 2005 (licensed in Germany). He is a brilliantly moving son of double World Champion Florencio with the dream combination of Rubinstein/Donnerhall and Akzent II on the dam line. His naturally light-footed uphill movements and enormous presence, make him a revelation to all dressage lovers. BF - Floreno will stand at Bluefields Stud in WA by the end of 2008, after he has completed his Stallion Performance Test in Germany.

Can I begin with a quote from Dr Ludwig Christmann of the Hanoverian Verband in his Foreword to the Hanoverian Year Book 2008 where he speaks about the choice of a stallion for your mare… “When selecting a stallion we need to consider the performance ability he proved either in competition or in his stallion performance test. A decision should only be made after a careful analysis of the strong and weak points of the respective mare.” and “Sires which some years later distinguish themselves as producers of performance horses deserve your confidence as a breeder.”
International Horse Breeders Pty Ltd is known for carrying a big range of both young and proven sires available in frozen semen. The young sires have been chosen for their excellence shown during their performance tests, their overall quality and bloodlines. The older proven sires are the ones who are sires of sons and daughters, and in some cases grand sons and grand daughters, who have themselves excelled in their performance tests, in competition and in the breeding arena. When choosing a younger, sometimes cheaper sire, we hope he will be a top sire of the future based on his performance. When choosing a proven sire, we bank on the fact that his genes will greatly improve our breeding program in the way he has already profoundly proven it overseas by producing top class horses in series. Each stallion’s breeding index tells his story. The higher the breeding index the greater his ability to positively influence his progeny.
IHB introduces some exciting new young dressage stallions for the 2008 breeding season. From Celle comes Belafonte (Belissimo M x Wendekreis), who placed 1st out of 52 stallions in his performance test in Adelheisdorf in 2007. Silberschmied is an interesting stallion, half TB by Sunlight out of a Wolkenstein 11 mare, who came second in the same test. From PSI comes Sarkozy (Sandro Hit x Weltmeyer) a stunning black stallion of exceptional pedigree, and Furst Romancier (Furst Heinrich x Romancier/Rosenkavalier) who gained 148 points at his performance test. These are a few of the young ones worth looking at as they represent the future of the breed based on their own performance, their overall quality and exceptional bloodlines.
Let’s now turn to the proven sires, which are also not surprisingly, some of the most popular dressage sires that IHB offer. These stallions are talked about in legendary terms… Don Frederico, Rotspon, Weltmeyer, Brentano II, Londonderry, Sandro Hit, Don Primero, and Jazz. These sires have proved themselves in their progeny and each has established their high breeding values. They impart their extraordinary movement, rideability and trainability for dressage in a big way! Their sons and daughters are making a stir in Europe, and to name a few… Don Henrico, Belettmeister, Locksley II, Londontime, Rascalino, Royal Blend, Weltano, Worldly, and Sir Donnerhall. These proven stallions are rated so highly because of their top progeny in series in Europe and in the exceptional improvement they make upon the mares that they are bred to. In the words of Ludwig Christmann, these stallions you can always breed to with confidence.
International Horse Breeders is also offering a range of younger stallions from Gestut WM in Germany, including Sieger Hit (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall), Champion of his Oldenburg Korung 2007, Fergonn, a son of Florencio out of a Hill Hawk xx mare, and Don Ricoss (Don Frederico x Weltmeyer) who was Champion of his 30 day test in Neustadt-Dosse with a dressage index of 8.84. See their website for the full line up and please let them know your interest in breeding by August if possible, as these new guys will need to be frozen especially for 2008. Again, from Zuchthof Klatte there are several new younger sires this season, and the dressage sire Farewell 111 (Fidermark x Rosenkavalier) remains popular with breeders.
A full listing of IHB stallions can be found on their website at www.ihb.com.au or give Glenis a call. She is happy to talk about fertility on any of their stallions and assist you in any way. Contact them early in season! Breed For Success – Breed with IHB!

Karingal Equestrian Centre is situated one hour north of Sydney’s Central Business District at Mangrove Mountain. Known to many who enjoy the tourist route 33 to Wisemans Ferry as an area to be enjoyed for its beautiful scenery, farm gate produce, historical buildings and cafes.
Karingal was originally established in 1990 in Gosford, then after outgrowing our premises we relocated to Mangrove Mountain in 1998. Since relocating we have been working toward developing a Centre, that while primarily being a teaching and training facility, covers a wide range of services and still focuses on attention to detail.
Our services include: Agistment, Riding lessons, Accommodation and facilities hire, EFA NCAS Instructor’s Courses, School Holiday Camps, Schooling and competition preparation, and of course, the breeding programme, and horses for sale.
Karen and Martin’s aim is to import & breed horses of the highest calibre, while maintaining a wonderful nature & trainability. To breed horses that can be friends as well as competitors.
The other aim is to try to do this and breed horses that will stay affordable for every budget.
They also aim to have a quality facility where people can board & train their horses.
Karin and Martin are looking forward to next year when we will be introducing Dornkaart, a bay stallion by Don Primero out of Piroschka x Pik Bube. This exciting young stallion was born in February 2006 and was purchased at the Elite Verden Foal auction in 2006. Dornkaart was imported in 2006 along with four fillies purchased on the same buying trip – they too represent the cutting edge of breeding. Donatella (Don Crusador; Carbid; Lortzing), Daisy (Rascalino; Walt Disney; Akzent I), Samanta (Samarant; Wenzel I; Carbid). The fourth filly, by Florencio, went to a client. The future is an exciting time at Karingal.

In 1983, when Holger and Melanie Schmorl moved their stud from Germany to Queensland in Australia, they brought with them a nucleus of consolidated Hanoverian bloodlines – rich in the ability for dressage and jumping.
Although the Kinnordy jumping and eventing stars have shone of late, it was the dressage horses that first put Kinnordy on the Australian map. Kinnordy’s first Australian bred international representative was Wiking, by the stud’s foundation stallion, Winterkoenig. Wiking was the first Australian dressage horse to place at a European competition and went on to represent Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Rome.
The dressage gene pool was greatly enriched with the imported stallion, Gymnastik Star – this is a genuinely all-round sire, producing high quality jumpers, eventers and dressage horses. While competition in Australia was restricted last year because of the EI lockdown, Gymnastik Star progeny in New Zealand continued to shine.
Kinnordy Gym, Gymstar One, Kinnordy Gallium, Kinnordy Glogau (National Preliminary Champion), Kinnordy Gambado, Glamour Star, Giovanna MH and Guisto MH all won or placed from Preliminary to Advanced – it is no wonder that New Zealand breeders are enthusiastic about using this multi-talented stallion.
In Australian dressage arenas he has been represented by horses like UQ Gladiator, a winner at young horse classes and Novice level; Revelwood Mon Star who placed in five classes at the NSW State Championships 2005; (Kinnordy) Galanthus, a stallion by Gymnastik Star was Queensland Preliminary Champion in 2006 and Kinnordy Gyron who in 2007 won at both the Toowoomba and Armidale Dressage Championships with a score of 75%.
Class Action II by another of our imported stallions, Graf Landau has had a series of victories from Advanced to Intermediate II, ridden by Elizabeth Owens and (Kinnordy) Gershwin E was recently Prix St George champion at AEA Burong and Small Tour Champion at Westernport Championships under Samantha Bartlett. Interestingly, this dressage stallion is the full-brother to the Grand Prix and World Cup showjumper KS Genoa, now selected for the Australian Olympic showjumping squad.
The Dressage blood at Kinnordy received a wonderful infusion in 2002 with the importation of the Rubinstein son, River Dance, and he is already proving himself in the competition arena and as a sire, with horses like Elite River Run, Matavia Rivendell, Matavia Rohan and Rain Dance (NZ) starring at major dressage competitions.
The stallion Danzante, by De Niro out of a Weltmeyer mare, arrived in 2004 making up the final threads of the dressage trinity – Weltmeyer, Donnerhall and Rubinstein . This is the very image of a modern stallion and is producing horses with the movement you would expect from his breeding.
Kinnordy also offers its clients access to the highly successful Kinnordy Studbook – providing the breeder with accurate assessment and registration services.

Narbethong Equestrian Park is a busy training, agistment and boutique-breeding center in Western Australia. We strongly believe that breeding superior horses starts with superior mares. Some of our mares include Hollingrove Sasha (Sandro Hit/Don Ramiro), Hollingrove Sunburst (Sunny Boy/ Flemmingh) and Florina (Duino/Pik Noir), a premium Oldenburg foal soon to be imported to Australia.
We are also very strong believers in using approved Thoroughbred mares in our program and often make the comment that we think its far better to use a top quality Thoroughbred mare than an average Warmblood mare.
Our mares are all registered Hanoverian, Oldenburger or AWHA. Our focus is to select mares that are the complete package… conformation, movement, temperament, character and pedigree. This year we have foals due by 6-year-old Bundeschampion winner Farewell III and our own imported stallion Royal Oak II. This season we plan to bred our mares to Quarterback, Royal Oak II, Farewell III and De Niro. Our newly broken Hollingrove Sasha is showing such enormous potential under saddle that embryo transfer is a strong possibility, which will enable us to keep this promising young horse in training.
Narbethong is home to the recently imported stallion, Royal Oak II. At his first competition under saddle Royal Oak II won Champion 07 West Australian Young Dressage Horse last year at the tender age of just three years old. This seriously talented young horse combined with an excellent character and outstanding basic gaits makes him a highly desirable young stallion. All factors which promise a hugely successful future breeding and dressage career at the highest
levels.
Towards the end of the year our stud will be home to the another imported stallion Bellario (Belissimo M/ Wolkenstein II). This truly is a stallion with an international pedigree with amateur rideability (like so many of the Belissimo M’s). He has caused quite a stir with mare owners in Germany not only because of his powerful, elastic movement but surprisingly a lot of jumping ability, something we had not originally planed for. A few years down the track we also hope to stand at stud our newest acquisition a sensational colt by Oldenburger champion stallion Don Kennedy.
At Narbethong we try to stay in touch with the developments of breeding happening in Europe. It is only through yearly trips to Germany, personal inspections of stallions and through invaluable connections that will allow our stud and its breeding program to remain at the forefront of Warmblood breeding in Australia.

Neversfelde is a small stud on the beautiful NSW South Coast, producing two to three foals a year. For the past 25 years we have concentrated on producing competitive dressage horses with high rideability and of elegant type. We have only kept the best mares for breeding. These have been broken and ridden for at least six months to test their rideability. We use mainly frozen semen to achieve the best quality foals. A large proportion of our foals have become successful competition horses, some up to Grand Prix. At Sydney CDI this year we have produced four of the entries in the Young Horse Classes. We have foals and young horses for sale by Rotspon, Sandro Hit and Sir Donnerhall.

The magic cross of Florestan and Weltmeyer has produced some outstanding stallions including the double world young dressage horse champion, Florencio. Here in Australia, we have the same cross in Ferrero Rocher who has followed a spectacularly successful young horse career with an impressive entry into FEI level competition.
Florestan has long been the leading stallion in Westfalia, and is legendary for producing horses with a cool, calm temperament. He has produced a series of Grand Prix dressage stars including Fidermark, Floriano, Floriano Deux and Forest Gump.
Weltmeyer is the star stallion in Hanover and has been the most successful producer of dressage horses in history. He has produced countless dressage stars, including the international Grand Prix representatives Warum Nicht, Weltall, Rosemount Wallstreet and Wie Weltmeyer.
Ferrero Rocher is the perfect match of the great trot and impulsion of the Welmeyers, with the wonderful canter and trainability of the Florestans. He is a good looking horse, with that look at me quality and an easy to get along with attitude. His progeny seem to be inheriting his best qualities…

Our stallion, Worldwide has surpassed our expectations and we feel extremely lucky to have him. In the short time he has been here he has excelled in his schooling, is always a pleasure to handle and has given us some super foals. We are really excited about next year’s crop of foals and Claire can’t wait to start riding some of his progeny.
We have had a huge response from owners in New Zealand who have looked us up and regularly keep us updated. Carolyn Lieutenant came back from judging the Auckland Championships and remarked that she judged three Worldwide youngsters who all showed a lot of promise. Weltmeyer AF won the Novice Champion under Carolyn. Worldwide youngsters all have his gorgeous good looks and amiable temperament. And owners are remarking on the amazing elasticity and balance of the youngsters.
In 2007 he was very successful, winning the Advanced 5.4 at the Victorian Championships as well as Advanced Kur Champion. At the Sydney CDI he came 2nd in the Advanced Cup. We have also been out to a few shows where he always wins the Warmblood and hunter classes. We were looking forward to the National Championships as he is only excelling with the training. Unfortunately we all missed out last year and Worldwide also missed the CDI due to a virus. We were most disappointed as he only became sick days before and we had high hopes for this competition. His entrance into the FEI arena this year has caused a stir.
He delights us every day and is always a true gentleman as well as being super talented!

To breed a dressage horse that is not only a joy to own for the amateur owner, but talented enough to be successful at the highest level, is our aim. We would like anyone who owns a Wolfingham horse to be able to look upon their dressage partner each day, and feel uplifted with pride in the knowledge they have found a trusted friend and gifted competitor. To achieve that aim it was imperative for the stud to firstly select superior quality broodmares and secondly, to use the best proven stallions available. Our broodmares therefore carry well-respected and performed bloodlines such as Walt Disney, Don Ramiro, Monopol, Capone, Salute, Medallion, Grannus II and Falkland Victory. All were either successful competitors, or bred by the stud exclusively for broodmare duties, and all are of outstanding temperament. Visitors to the stud often remark on the friendliness and trust that the mares and foals exhibit.
With regard to the stallions, it is our view that the very best stallions are often overseas and therefore the stud has engaged on a frozen semen program to supplement the use of selected Australian based stallions. This has included sires such as Don Schufro, Rosario, Sir Donnerhall, Whisper, San Rubin II and Jive Magic.
This season we once again offer our own young stallion, Wolfingham Dalziel to public stud. He is a product of our frozen breeding program and is by Don Schufro (Donnerhall / Pik Bube) out of a Medallion / Salute mare. A virtual goldmine of Grand Prix genetics! He has proved to be very fertile, live or chilled, even on mares known to be difficult breeders, much to the delight of the owners. His foals so far have proven to have inherited his friendly temperament, calm nature and MOVEMENT! Did I mention handsome too? We are expecting a number of his foals this season and the colts will be offered for sale. His one and only filly last season is drop dead gorgeous in every way and has turned many a visitor’s head. She will be welcomed into the broodmare herd in time.
He is incredibly quiet and sensible under saddle and on the ground. A true gentleman! His paces show flair, cadence and natural ground covering rhythm, particularly the all important canter – it’s amazing! Even as a foal he has shown a balance and ability to collect, well beyond his years, which bodes well for the future. Under saddle he is particularly soft and supple providing easy ride, suitable for the professional and amateur alike.
We excitedly await this season’s foals by Dalziel and fully expect them to be sensational.

Woodleigh International was founded in 1995 by Australian Representative and successful FEI dressage rider, Sarah Bray. Being a rider, Sarah knows what it takes to breed an International Performance Horse, personally riding the stallions and breeding mares.
The first two foals born at Woodleigh International have already proven themselves time and time again. Woodleigh Aria was champion mare at the Royal Melbourne Show in 1997, then retired to stud. Aria’s foals are in high demand often selling before birth. Woodleigh Don Juan, a World Cup Showjumper and a Futurity Winner, is also producing progeny of excellence.
Extensive research went into purchasing the foundation mares at Woodleigh, with investigative trips to Europe and around Australia. The emphasis at Woodleigh International has been to procure the best Warmblood mares and keeping the filly foals to ensure a mare pool of world class quality. Grand Prix professionals are sourcing their future champion with the assistance of the team at Woodleigh International.
With the purchase of the carefully selected RAPHAEL, Woodleigh International has gone from strength to strength. Raphael was chosen to compliment the mares and put Woodleigh in direct competition with the European studs of today. Raphael will prove to be a welcome supplement to dressage breeding in Australia, with his naturally light-footed, uphill movements making him a revelation to every dressage lover and is sure to appeal to the most discerning judges. This stunning stallion leaves very little to desire.
The bloodlines at Woodleigh International are of the current super stars, De Niro, Royal Diamond, Florestan, Flemmingh, and French Kiss as well as stallions of legendry status like Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Weltmeyer, Argentinus, Sandro, Pik Bube and Cor de la Bryère. Other bloodlines include Sir Oldenburg, Landgraf, Don Primero and importantly, Absatz.
It is with great pleasure that the Woodleigh International team introduce you to this exciting stud. With foals due this season of amazing blood (some already booked) and two incredible stallions (RAPHAEL and WOODLEIGH DON JUAN), we offer you the best. Woodleigh International would like to wish you, the breeder and rider, every success.
